Summer Solstice
The Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Festival is a vibrant annual celebration that transforms the streets of our beautiful city into a dazzling showcase of art, music, and community spirit.
My journey with the festival began in 2020 when I moved to Santa Barbara and won the poster art contest, which led to my role as Artist in Residence. This incredible opportunity allowed me to design floats, create costumes, and participate in the solstice parade, immersing me in the creative energy that defines this cherished event.
I am always excited to contribute my creativity and passion, celebrating the imagination and joy that make this celebration truly magical.
Santa Barbara Alzheimer's Walk
I was selected as the Art Director for the 2023 Alzheimer's Walk Promise Garden in Santa Barbara, orchestrating a memorable and enchanting experience for the Promise Garden area.
I recruited volunteers to create and assemble captivating props and decorations, with the help of Summer Solstice Artists and the Santa Barbara community. Enhancing the event's atmosphere and impact. I set out to create a magical garden of whimsy and delight, what made this project particularly rewarding was the opportunity to involve the residents of Oak Cottage Memory Care in creating floral decorations, together we made over 100 giant purple flowers!.
